Apparently, Jessica Korda needs a gentle reminder—well, perhaps not so ‘gentle’—at times that she is a soon-to-be mother. First-time mom problems, we guess. The six-time LPGA Tour winner is on a maternity break from the LPGA Tour. Korda often posts updates on social media about her day-to-day life as a would-be mother.
Life is going pretty well for Jessica Korda, it would seem, who recently had a vacation in Italy. While the story is pretty different for her younger sister, Nelly Korda. The eight-time LPGA Tour winner is still trying her hands to end the trophy drought. We wouldn’t know if the soon-to-be mother has got time to talk to her sister, given that she appears pretty busy getting constant ‘reminders’ of upcoming motherhood.

Korda announced her pregnancy in August in the most adorable fashion one can think of. Posting a picture with her mini Goldendoodle, which, as dogs go, is super cute and goes by the name ‘Charlie’, the elder Korda sister announced that the baby is due on February 3 next year.
Naturally, Jessica Korda took a break from her career. However, her last outing came in May at the Cognizant Founders Cup, where she withdrew due to a back injury. Since then, the six-time LPGA Tour winner has taken up time to share motherly stories on her Instagram and even lend her support to fellow PGA Tour pro and his wife’s initiative to raise awareness about pediatric cancer.
This time, taking an off-route approach, the 30-year-old LPGA Tour pro shared a wacky tale. Korda uploaded a selfie on her Instagram story, saying that sometimes she does forget that she is pregnant. But not for long. “Then I feel the kicks… They quickly remind me that indeed [I] am pregnant.”

Jessica Korda is currently on a career break due to pregnancy. She has pulled out of the Grant Thornton Invitational, where Lexi Thompson will fill in her shoes by pairing up with Rickie Fowler. Earlier, she withdrew from the Solheim Cup as well. While Korda was watching the Solheim Cup proceedings with bated breath a few months earlier, her sister suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of Carlota Ciganda on the other side of the Atlantic.

Nelly Korda’s run of poor form continues
The Solheim Cup heartbreak forced Nelly Korda to take a month-long hiatus. The younger Korda sister came back on the greens in October. But the break was not enough to catapult her back to her former glory. The much-anticipated return happened in the BMW Ladies Championship, but the last leg of 2023 is going anything but well for the 26-year-old. Korda’s last outing at the ANNIKA Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican yielded a 25th-place finish on the leaderboard.

But thanks to her eight Top-10 finishes, six of which came before May, she is in the 15th position on the Race to CME Globe leaderboard. That gives her a potential shot at the title at the LPGA Tour’s season-ender CME Group Tour Championship on Thursday. In total contrast to last year, when she went to the $7 million showdown, coming off a victory at the Pelican Women’s Championship, this time she will be looking for her maiden win this season. How the table has turned!
