Luke Clanton completed his basic education at the American Heritage High School in Plantation and finished his sophomore year at Florida State University. Being a part of Seminole Boosters, the 20-year-old is playing collegiate golf with all he’s got.
Clanton’s talent has placed him in elite golf circles, where he has rubbed shoulders with some of the best amateur golfers, including Nick Dunlap, a former World Amateur No. 1. Dunlap made headlines by winning The American Express Championship in January, becoming only the third amateur since 1957 to win on the PGA Tour. The achievement in itself is remarkable.

When asked about his plans in an interview with Golf Digest, the golfer said with surety, “All four years. Yeah, I love Florida State. I play golf to play golf,” referring to the importance of his hometown and education.

According to Luke Clanton, he will complete all four years of college and only then, he will turn professional. “I think being able to play golf with your buddies every single day, it’s something you don’t get very much. I’ve got 12 dudes on that team that I absolutely love, so it’s awesome,” he continued.
