Is Olivia Peet the secret weapon behind Ludvig Åberg's rise in the golf world?

Having your lady luck by your side comes has its own benefits, and Ludvig Aberg knows all about it! The Swedish native has always been accompanied by Olivia Peet, his girlfriend since the two were in college. Peet has witnessed all the ups and downs of Aberg’s career. After all, he isn’t the only athlete between the two.

Liv and Aberg met at Texas Tech University, where the pro was pursuing collegiate golf and Peet was an up-and-coming tennis player. The 24-year-old was admitted to Texas Tech in 2022 after she helped Queenswood High School win three national school championships. At Texas Tech, Liv enjoyed a successful collegiate career as she also studied Sport and Fitness Administration and graduated with a master’s degree in December 2023.

In those five years at Texas, Peet clinched several award records, including ITA Scholar-Athlete (2020–2023), CSD Academic All-District Team, and All-Big 12 Second Team Single in 2023. Being ranked the 115th ITA tennis college player, Peet also did an internship at the Racquet Club in Midland and freelanced as a tennis teaching professional.

Peet played her last professional game in 2021, as she won two qualifier rounds of the ITF/USTA event but lost the last one against McCartney Kessler. Nowadays, Liv accompanies Ludvig Aberg for the PGA Tour events and supports him from outside the rope as she works as an associate director at Texas Tech. Peet was there when Aberg made his Ryder Cup debut and helped the European Team win at Marco Simone.

Although she was not there when the Swedish pro won his maiden title at the 2023 RSM Classic, she has been a constant in the 2024 season. She may witness Aberg’s second PGA Tour win in the coming days.
