Talking about the records being made, there’s a new name in the golf world that recently has made one. The 20-year-old amateur, Luke Clanton has become the first amateur to finish inside the top 10 back-to-back on the PGA TOUR since 1958. With this, the golf enthusiasts are eager to witness him playing in the next event.
Luke Clanton will play next in the 2024 ISCO Championship at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Clanton will, once again, compete with the pro golfers on the greens and try to showcase his skills once again after the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic and the John Deere Classic.
In the 2024 ISCO Championship, the Floridian golfer will be facing other young guns in the sport, including the likes of Michael Thorbjornsen and Neal Shipley. The 31-year-old golfer, Daniel Berger will also be seen swinging on the greens. In a post shared by the PGA Tour Communications, the field for the 2024 ISCO Championship has been revealed.

In an audio clip from a recent interview of the 20-year-old, shared by the SiriusXM PGATour on its Instagram account, it is clear that the primary aim for Clanton, at least in the current scenario, is to win a National Championship. In his own words, “I said this multiple times to everybody, but I think I want to win a national championship with Florida State for sure. I think the guys we have on my team right now are insane.”
On further clarifying winning a National Championship as his current priority, he added with confidence that the PGA Tour is there for him as a future prospect: “And it’s one of the things where I know that you know, that the PGA Tour is right there for me in the future and I can get there. And you know if I have to wait a little bit, it’s fine.” Talking about Clanton’s amateur career in 2024, he is on a roll as he emerged victorious in three collegiate events and he also set the single-season record for the lowest scoring average in Florida State University history, achieving a 69.33 over 40 rounds.
