The golfing legend Tiger Woods recently competed in the 150th Open Championship. Hence, golf fans were over the moon watching this legend compete at St. Andrews. However, this happiness did not last for long, as it was heartbreaking for everyone to watch Tiger struggling with his game.

Even though his fitness looked in a better condition this week, the rustiness in his game was evident. Woods had competed only in two competitive events this year before the Open, while his playing partner, Max Homa, had played around ten competitive rounds in the last 30 days. Therefore, it was obvious that his game would never be in sync this week.

Tiger Woods and his future in professional golf

Furthermore, he said this was probably his last event at St. Andrews. He believes that by the time the Open Championship comes back to the ‘Home of Golf’, Woods might not be around to compete. However, Tiger firmly believes this wasn’t his final Open Championship and is confident of competing in this prestigious major again.

When will we see Woods competing again?

Meanwhile, when it comes to his playing schedule, there is no clarity about it yet. The 15-time major winner revealed he has nothing planned yet, and we might as well not see him until next year. “I have nothing, nothing planned,” said Woods. “Maybe something next year. I don’t know. But nothing in the near future. This is it. I was just hoping to play this one event this year,” revealed Tiger.

However, when it comes to Tiger Woods, we cannot predict anything. He might come out and play at the Hero World Challenge and then with his son Charlie at the PNC Championship. Or maybe he could even skip both and directly show up at the Augusta National for the Masters.

But looking at his records, we might now see Tiger at the Hero World Challenge, as he is the host of this event. But his chances of competing in this event as a player are still unknown.
