For a golfer, it is always like a dream to win multiple titles in the same season. The same thing has happened with Peter Uihlein, the 35-year-old American golfer. With a long professional journey of Uihlein, he was part of the top 25s, 10, and 5s multiple times but was unable to convert those. However, this year he has changed it with two Asian Tour victories.

With his victories, he became the first golfer to win two International Series events in 2024. The American golfer clinched his first victory at the International Series England in August 2024. He scores under 20 by 7 strokes, beating Andy Sullivan and Caleb Surratt. His impressive performance continued even at the next event, which was the International Series Qatar. Beating Charl Schwartzel, the American golfer scored under 15 by 5 strokes.

After the two wins this year, the total comes to 5 professional wins for Peter Uihlein. He will be aiming to increase it with the great form that he is carrying and the upcoming tournaments to come. Following his two wins at the Internation Series, he will be seen in action at the PIF Saudi International, powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers.

The tournament will take place at the Riyadh Golf Club on 4th-7th December 2024. The par-72 championship will be a great opportunity for Peter Uihlein to clinch his third title of the year. However, the course will be a test for the golfer with a mix of wide fairways, undulating terrain, and manicured greens. With the grand purse of $5 million, it will be great for fans to witness a tournament featuring great players.

How Peter Uihlein played with adverse weather in Qatar

Peter Uihlein shared how winds made it even tougher to manage in the fairways. As per the weather report, all rounds witnessed fast wind flow, which was making it difficult for the players to hit the shot. Golfers had planned out the shots according to the wind, and Uihlein had managed to stay with the wind pretty well in every round. Uihlein has scored 16 under par after four rounds, scoring 68,64, and 71 in the first three rounds, while in the last round, he scored 69 and clinched the title with a difference of 5 under par.

He said; “It was tough again you know; the wind hasn’t stopped blowing for the last three days. And you know, the golf course has been quite penalizing when you miss the fairways and it’s hard to hit the fairways with the crosswinds and stuff.” The victory has been a redemption for his close miss at the International Series Thailand.

Now with two Asian Tour wins, two Korn Ferry Tour wins, and one Challenge Tour win, he will be aiming to get the list moving with the next international tour to come.
