Among the 15 others is also last year’s winning team, Team Jason Day/Lydia Ko. Last year, a 3-wood shot from 203 yards into the wind enabled Lydia Ko and her team partner Jason Day to win the 2023 title. That shot was declared the “shot of the day” and had a significant impact on the duo’s victory.
Jeeno Thitikul, a new member of the team who also secured 270 more points than Lydia Ko during the CME Group Tour Championship, might make it difficult for team Ko/Day to repeat as champions. After winning the CME Group Tour Championship on Sunday, the Thai golfer moved into seventh position in the Rolex World Golf ranking. This is her fourth LPGA Tour title of the season.
Additionally, Thitikul’s winning performance at the Dow Championship, along with Ruoning Yin, also made her secure first place in the Aon Rank Reward Challenge. Alternatively, Tom Kim’s performance at the President’s Cup has garnered headlines even though he may not have scored any wins this year.
