The PNC Championship 2021 was when everyone realized that another G.O.A.T. was in the making. However, there are times when children fall or go through rough patches. That is when their parents stand by their side, guiding them back in the right direction. That is what Woods has been doing with his son. Last year, he explained how he teaches his son to focus on his shots.
What did Tiger Woods say to his son?
After his terrible accident in February 2021, Tiger Woods gave an exclusive interview with Golf Digest. He discussed his recovery and explained Charlie’s future in golf. During his recovery, Woods saw the scores of his son and was in shock. He could not believe his son scoring so high in golf, and it was time to take the matter into his own hands.

During the Interview in November 2021, he told Golf Digest what he said to his son. Charlie was doing well, but then he had a bad hole. He lost his temper, and the next shot reflected the anger which ended up affecting his game. Woods told his son, “Son, I don’t care how mad you get. Your head could blow off for all I care, just as long as you’re 100 percent committed to the next shot. That’s all that matters.” Since losing his temper was hindering his upcoming shots, the major championship winner explained his son how to focus.
The former number one told his son that he needed to focus on the next shot because that should be the most important thing. No matter how bad the last shot was, it was necessary to look forward and make things better. And, after the words of wisdom, Woods noticed an improvement in his son’s game. There was a proud father who made his son a better golfer and he would keep doing that.
