Phil’s tribute Tuesday
The 51-year-old professional started a tribute Tuesday back in September 2019. Phil posted about the Tribute Tuesday on his official Twitter account. Mickelson would pay a tribute or acknowledge every person who left an impact on him as well as his family. The lefty wants to thank all the people for giving him the opportunity to have special opportunities in his life and was his gesture to say thank you!
In his first tribute, he named one of the legends of the sport, Arnold Palmer. Phil uploaded a rather emotional video on his Twitter account on Arnies’ 90th birthday, to thank him.

In the heartwarming acknowledgment video, Phil spoke about how he is thankful to the King. As well as, narrated an instance of Arnies’ generosity. He said, “l never forget the interactions that we’ve had the way he looked you in the eye the charisma that he had. But one of the things that stood out in my career was in 1994 When I was playing the US Open in Oakmont his last US Open where he took two hours during the practice rounds or after the practice rounds, to shake hands with all the volunteers and thank them for their time to make that event possible.”

He added, “I want to thank Arnold Palmer for the impact he’s made in my life and the game of golf and so many throughout the world and start off tribute Tuesday honoring this great man. Thank you.” Phil is truly a gentleman. And as a result, his words prove the amount of respect he has for Arnold Palmer.
Phil Mickelson creates history at 50
The Lefty won the PGA Championship back in 2021. As a result, becoming the oldest major winner at the age of 50. He broke the record of Julius Boros to become the older major winner. However, Boros won the 1968 PGA Championship at 48. Phil won the event with an overall score of six-under-par. As a result, won by two strokes.
