Without losing a second, Mickelson took to his Twitter account and made a dig at the former No.1. The tweet immediately became the reason for a war on the golf course and Twitter. The legends sarcastically commented on each other, and the challenge was on. We all know how it went from that day to the showdown finals. But was the digging worth it? Let’s find out.

Prio to the match, the G.O.A.T., uploaded a poster of ‘The Match’ on his Twitter handle. Mickelson replied sarcastically with a laughing emoji, “I bet you think this is the easiest $9M you will ever make.” The pro-Woods was not going to sit back and relax; he replied even with more sarcasm and took a more extensive dig. He wrote, “Think you will earn some bragging rights?” And in the last reply, the challenge was on with the LIV player’s comment, “Let’s do this #TigerVsPhil.”

The rivals did not directly say anything to each other but indirectly reflected their personalities. According to Mickelson, Woods was sure he would win the match and, therefore, make the easiest $9 million. The former no.1 reflected that if a former PGA member wins the game, he will keep bragging about it.
