Bert, an avid golf fan, still remembered how powerfully the golfer hit at his first tournament. As they watched Daly’s picture, Bert couldn’t help but refer to him as “a real gangster in golf”. He further added, “If you say hero, that’s one of my heroes right there.”

Further, Bert told Rogan why he considered the golfer as one of his heroes. He explained that on the night before Daly withdrew from the Players Championship in 1997, he shared a drink with the golfer. And soon as he began the story, Joe couldn’t contain himself. He asked the stand-up comedian, “You were there? You saw him at the bar?”

Bert continued saying that even though Daly was a successful golfer then, he was extremely down-to-earth. He was just there to enjoy himself without showcasing any ego. Bert also added that he used to go to watch the golfer play with his father. He said, “sometimes he just f***king destroyed, and it was nothing more fun than to watch him.”
While Rogan is not a golf fan and knows little about the sport, Bert seemed like a die-hard fan of the game. As Bert was sharing his stories, Rogan was clearly amazed by Daly’s personality. Daly was nothing like Joe had ever seen on a golf course, and he indeed made an impression on him.
