After giving his career-worst performance at the Masters and finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of +16. Tiger Woods has once again faced disappointment at the PGA Championship as his journey at the Valhalla golf course came to an end much sooner than he would have hoped for.
The 15-time major winner started the second round with back-to-back double bogeys. The subsequent three bogeys made it impossible for Woods to be anywhere near the cutline, which is set at 1 under. He ended his round with a score of 6 over 77. Woods is still choosing to be positive and is looking forward to his next tournament, which most likely will be the third major of the season that is set to take place at Pinehurst.

It is pretty much impossible to shatter the resilience of Mr. T. After all, he has been among the best golfers in the history of the sport! He believes he is getting stronger in the game, and confirmed his plans to play in the third major. In an interview after Round 2 at Valhalla, when asked about his strategy to get even better at the US Open, Woods optimistically said, “Yeah, I need to clean up my rounds”.
Despite such an underwhelming result on the Kentucky greens, Woods sounded optimistic for Pinehurst. He shared how his health has been improving gradually and that he is in much better condition since his last outing on the greens. Throughout the Masters, he had shooting pain in his back and leg and had to sit down for massages in between the games as well.
But that was no longer the case at Valhalla Golf Course. A hopeful Tiger Woods concluded, “also — physically, yes, I am better than I was a month ago. I still have more ways to go, lots of improvement to go physically, and hopefully my team and I can get that done pre-Pinehurst and going into it.”
Sadly he's tied for 140th so overall poor play.
