Scottie Scheffler and his wife, Meredith, are expecting their first child. Earlier this month, a lot of speculations were going around about the couple having a baby; especially after a video of Meredith walking by the Bay Hill Club & Lodge course was seen. However, there was no confirmation then, but now, the couple has confirmed they are expecting a baby.
The 2022 Masters winner, Scottie Scheffler, recently did a promotional on his official Instagram account. As he went about flexing the product, the API 2024 Champion gave hints about their due date. He said, “We also have a tourist on the inside. We have a little surprise coming out in April. It’s also Meredith’s birthday. She’s a Taurus, so that’s just you know, a little more about it.”
The couple who tied the knot in 2020, turning from high school sweethearts to life partners, are not short of being thrilled.

Speaking to SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio, he said, “It’s going to be pretty wild. I don’t think it’s hit either of us quite yet, maybe sometime when the baby is moving around in her stomach a bunch, but it’s an exciting time for us as a family… It’s been a pretty exciting last seven months or so and we’re looking forward to hopefully getting the baby out of there nice and healthy and with a healthy momma and then we’ll go from there.”
Scottie Scheffler won at life. From excelling in his passion to having the constant support of his wife, and now, on the pedestal of being a father, he has a lot going on. The journey is indeed going to be wholesome for the couple, given they have managed to come such a long way!
From a long-distance relationship to parenthood!
Scottie Scheffler met Meredith Scudder when they were at Highland Park High School in Texas. In an interview with ‘Golf Digest’, Scheffler revealed that the two met at someone’s birthday party after the eighth grade and Scudder added that she was the new kid at the party, and did not know anyone.

She went and sat next to Scheffler because he was a familiar face. She said, “At the beginning of high school, I always thought he had a super humble ambiance about him, that he was just a down-to-earth guy that doesn’t take himself too seriously. Even when he had amazing accomplishments, that wasn’t the most important thing about him.”
As they graduated, the couple started long distance because they attended universities that were practically athletic rivals. They had been best friends, and Scheffler had always been grateful for her support. In 2020, he proposed to Meredith Scudder during a hike to the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Texas, and well, that was an end to their struggle of living separate lives and one step closer to having their own family!

The couple has indeed come a long way, and congratulations are in order!
