In his post-second round interview after being sent home early from TPC Sawgrass, the 4-time major winner opened up about the experiences that have been taking a toll on him of late. “It’s been a busy couple of weeks, and it’s been — honestly it’s been a busy sort of six or eight months,” said the golf pro.
The several “schedules” and “board meetings” that he was a part of for the changes being introduced on the Tour, had certainly left him drained. But the PGA Tour star was hopeful that his situation would soon improve. “Everything has sort of been announced now, and the wheels have been put in motion,” he claimed. “So, it should obviously quieten down from here.”

In the interview, the golf great also opened up about his most difficult foe during this chaotic time. “It’s just the time management,” he stated, claiming that juggling many things had proved quite problematic for him. He explained that it had been hard to manage time with the meetings and also practice and play golf to keep in shape for the events.
The Irishman added that overall, spearheading the Tour’s charge had taken quite a bit of his own time. “I’ve maybe sacrificed a little bit of time with some of this other stuff,” he stated. “I’m ready to get back to being purely a golfer.”
