“That’s why LIV is so amazing!” exclaimed a gratified Bryson DeChambeau back in Houston while referring to the team aspect of the Saudi-backed League. Fast forward to the LIV Golf event in Nashville, and the golfer didn’t shy away from dishing out praises to the same. He did so while pointing out how helpful it is, especially when one of the members is not playing great.

The 30-year-old was spotted mentioning the same in an interview post the second round of play at The Grove in Nashville. DeChambeau then went ahead to divulge how much each member helps out with the other golfer’s games, all the while urging the community to listen to his pleas about LIV Golf.

The minds in the golf world are still fresh with the recent victory that fan-favorite Bryson DeChambeau carded at the 2024 U.S. Open. Interestingly enough, if you ask him the secret behind the same, he would attribute it to his fans as well as his teammates at the Crushers GC, the latter of whom had helped him through a rough professional patch back in 2023 in Singapore.

“I was possibly in the worst professional point in my life, and those guys, Charles, Ban, and Paul, just put full-force effort into making me feel better,” recounted the golfer, in the interview, as he alluded to his teammates Charles Howell III, Anirban Lahiri, and Paul Casey. He dished out praise after praise for the rest of the Crushers GC as he said, “I couldn’t be more appreciative of that. It’s what really turned the corner for me. It’s because of my teammates that I’m here, in this moment right now.”

That’s not all. Bryson DeChambeau also highlighted the specialty of the Saudi-backed league as he divulged, “You’re fighting for other teammates, and that’s what’s so special about LIV Golf,” He then urged the whole community to listen while painting a hopeful situation for the circuit: “I’ve said it from day one, and I wish people would listen, but it is what it is, and I think people are starting to turn the corner and see what LIV Golf is and what the team aspect of it is and the value of it.” Well, one can’t help but agree with the golfer after seeing how the viewership numbers for the circuit have trumped the previous year’s version (The Sunday round in Mayakoba reportedly drew in 432,000 viewers, 100k more than 2023).

While all is said and done, the question naturally arises: How do the members of the Crushers GC squad actually help out with each other? Well, look no further, as the ‘Scientist’ himself had disclosed the answer to the same question in the same interview.

“We get talking if there’s something going on,” disclosed the 2-time U.S. Open champ as he revealed how they work on each other’s games; “We go ask, hey, what’s going on, how you doing, what do you need to do, what happened on the course, anything I can help with. So very involved.” Divulging on the events that transpired after the day’s play, DeChambeau recalled how he and Lahiri talked quite a bit after the round while Casey and Howell did their own thing.

It sure does look like Bryson DeChambeau holds his team in high regard, especially during the 2023 Singapore event when he placed a dismal T22. One couldn’t, thus, help but lend an ear when he said the same back in the LIV Golf event in Houston; “Those guys lifted me up, and it would be a different situation if those guys weren’t here. If they weren’t there to push me forward and go, no, come on, Bryson, you can do it.”
