Oh, what a year it has been! From winning at the LPGA Drive-On Championship with an eagle-birdie finish to becoming the top golf player in the world, Nelly Korda has ended her LPGA season with seven titles. Now, as her season break continues, Korda is making the most of her free time. The Rolex world ranker enjoyed a fun outing at the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Tampa Bay Lightning game.

As the game continued, she couldn’t help but feel a bit out of place. “What’s going on?” she jokingly posted on her gram as Thunder Bug played tricks with the fans. We don’t know if the NHL match impressed her enough, but the entertaining mascot certainly made her day. Impressively, one more match other than the actual one that interested Korda, was a sumo wrestling match between the entertaining mascots during the event. Enjoying her holiday and the scenery, Korda shared a video of the thrilling sumo match on her Instagram story.

She was not at the game just to watch it as a spectator. Korda was at the game with her brother, tennis pro-Sebastian Korda, to crank the lights. Tampa Bay Lightning posted the reel on its social media. As of the game, the team lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs by 5-2.

This restful holiday followed a spectacular CME Group Tour Championship, where Jenno Titikul won the title and a $4 million prize purse. Although Nelly Korda couldn’t give her best in the last LPGA tournament, she stayed positive. “You go from playing so well last week to not being able to find the center of the club face yesterday. Always humbles you, but that’s what you love so much about it,” Korda said, reflecting her love for how the game teaches her every time.

A couple of days ago, she posted on Instagram beautiful pictures from the Rolex ceremony, and her other appearances, summing up her year, and was nothing but grateful. “The people in my life make me feel like the luckiest person in the world 🥰 grateful, grateful, grateful 🥰 A special thank you to Terry Duffy @cmegroup. Your vision, belief and commitment to the LPGA is truly remarkable. We have so much to thank you for,” wrote Korda on Instagram.

With the spark Nelly Korda brings to the course, her fans would want to see her on the course very soon. Will that be happening?

When will fans witness Korda again on the greens?

Loose-learn-win! That’s how quickly the world’s No. 1 stays ahead. She was winless for the entire 2023 season, which marked the first season of being that way since turning pro. But 2024 brought hope and so many good moments. She won 2024 Player of the Year, debuted at the Met Gala in a beautiful dress, and did a bikini shoot for Sports Illustrated.

As Korda closes her 2024 chapter, she has one more chance to shine through before the next season. The American star will be playing at the much-awaited Grand Thornton Invitational. With her sights set on winning the title, a day out with her tennis pro brother was truly necessary. This year, Team FiNelly is back, as she is paired with Tony Finau just like last year. But what makes this couple even more unique is that they’ve already had some fantastic experiences together. Last year, they finished tied at T4 with a score of 23 under.
