Greg Norman runs LIV Golf. He was recently in the headlines over LIV’s media rights, but the current reason was unexpected. The boss of LIV golf recently appeared in a video for the promotion of the all-Australian LIV Golf team, Punch GC. It featured Cameron Smith too, where they replied to critical social media questions and comments. Norman did not know what Phil Mickelson’s infamous ‘FIGJAM’ nickname meant.

Fans know well that Phil Mickelson is right-handed but plays using his left hand while hitting shots, hence is known as ‘Lefty’ in the golf world. Mickelson is also known for his brave ability to take up the risk, and therefore he was named ‘Phil the Thrill’. Six major championship winner loves his nicknames except for one which was never acceptable to him.

Norman could not resist and immediately asked, “What the f*** is a FIGJAM?” And since then, Norman’s reaction has gone viral on Twitter among golf fans.

Cameron Smith then asked Norman if he did not know the meaning of FIGJAM. After seeing Norman in denial, Smith explained the full form of FIGJAM, i.e., an acronym with unpleasant language: “F*** I’m good, just ask me.”

Mickelson coined it in the 90s. Actually, he was the reason. Ex-PGA tour member Mickelson is loved by fans as well as his fellow golf players too. They admire his friendly behavior. However, the first half of his career did not receive the same love. Especially with his fellow golfers. And that led to the nickname—’FIGJAM’.
