Tom Brady is an American footballer who has recently become quite well known in the golf world. He made multiple appearances on Capital Ones ‘The Match’, a series of golf challenges where professional golfers are paired with football quarterbacks or basketball players. While we’ve seen him in action a couple of times, do you know his handicap?
The simplest way to gauge and interpret a golfer’s game is through their handicap. A handicap is a numerical measure of a golfer’s playing ability and calculates a net score on the number of strokes a player makes during a particular round. Professionals generally do not have a handicap, as they’re said to play scratch rounds. However, a handicap ratio can be calculated.

Tom Brady is an American football quarterback who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He has played in two installments of The Match, both with multiple major winners Phil Mickelson. The duo lost both times, first against Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning and then against Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers. So, let’s see what his handicap is.

Know about handicap of Tom Brady
Last recorded, Brady was playing an 8.1 handicap. For the professionals on the PGA Tour, they’re children’s numbers. However, for a novice, it’s a respectful number and pretty amazing. These numbers also vary according to the difficulty of the course. On the Riviera CC and The Country Club, he played with this number, an 8.1.
An official score he posted during 2020 was an 86 and a couple of more repeats of that around the same time. He shot a shocking 106 at the Medalist Golf Club, one of his worst performances yet.
After hitting some pretty sketchy shots during the challenge, probably owing to nerves, fans were quick to bring into question his handicap. Hilariously, they thought he was lying about it.

PGA Tour golfer Ricky Barnes revealed his thoughts on Brady’s game. He said, “I would say he’s more like a 4-6 [handicap] once he gets going. You know when you play with a guy and think, if they were able to put all their focus in, they could grind down and get to a 1-2 handicap? That’s him – a really athletic guy with an athletic swing. You point to a spot to hit it and he just trusts you.”
