LPGA star Nelly Korda, in partnership with TaylorMade, is gearing up for an exciting venture. Named after her, the event is an all-girls invitational and will unfold at the prestigious Concession Golf Club. The one-time major winner herself will play the role of the host at ‘The Nelly’!
The 25-year-old is extremely thrilled for the “launch” of the invitational and described it as a “full-circle moment.” She claimed that the AJGA played a “pivotal” role in the progression of her golf career, and hence she’s excited to contribute and “inspire the next generation of female golfers.”
Alongside TaylorMade, her equipment sponsor since January 2023, Nelly Korda will see her named event begin on May 3, 2024. It will showcase 66 top junior golfers in a 54-hole stroke play competition and be played over four days. And as Korda put it, it will be “more than just a competition.”

The collaboration between the 8-time LPGA winner and TaylorMade marks a milestone for the AJGA, showcasing commitment to innovation and inclusivity. This latest addition of Korda to the partnership between the original equipment company and the junior association showcases all the parties’ combined goal of contributing to the development of junior golf.
Why does this new association with AJGA mean so much to Nelly Korda?
During her junior golf days, Korda took part in several AJGA events, securing two invitational titles in 2015. She then transitioned to the LPGA Tour in 2017, winning eight times, including one major. Korda even went on to win one Olympic gold medal and participate in three Solheim Cups (2019, 2021, and 2023). However, as per her statement, it’s clear that she believes none of it would have been possible without her growth through her AJGA participation.
And Korda is not the only TaylorMade star in her rise to fame. AJGA alumni have become giants in golf, securing over 1,000 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours in total, and a few big names on the list include Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa, and Scottie Scheffler.
