Justin Thomas equaled the lowest round at the Plantation Course in Kapalua in the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions, with a round of 61. Jon Rahm equaled the record in the same round.

Justin Thomas makes history in golf once again
Justin Thomas is an American golfer and a former world number one. JT won five PGA Tour events in a single year and also is a one-time major championship winner. He is quite famous for his hitting and was a part of the 2021 Ryder Cup-winning team, team USA at Wisconsin. Justin has a very powerful driver swing where he generates huge power from his feet and a rather more stable lower body in the iron swing. As a result, he became the PGA Tour player of the year in the year 2017.

Justin created history for the fewest strokes in a single tournament. He opened the 2017 Sony Open with a 59 and carded the next three rounds in the low 60’s with 64, 65, and 65 to finish the tournament at 27-under par. The golf course is a par 70 course, so Thomas finished the weekend with a total score of 253. As a result, holds the lowest 72-hole total in PGA Tour history, but it’s not the lowest in relation to par.
Cameron Smith sets the lowest score in a 72-hole golf tournament
Cameron Smith, the Aussie golfer is a four-time PGA Tour winner with his latest coming at the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Smith is very well known for his amazing putting skills and is a good ball striker as well. He turned professional in the year 2013. He has won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans twice with different players. A recent one was with his fellow Aussie player Marc Leishman.
The Australian professional made history at the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions. He shot the lowest score in a 72-holes tournament. He shot a 34 under par his overall score for the tournament. Smith won by one stroke in Kapalua Plantation Course in Maui. It’s quite strange Kapalua has produced various low scores. Smith beat the world’s number one Jon Rahm to win in emphatic style.

Jim Furyk’s 58

Jim Furyk is an American golfer and turned professional in the year 1992. became the first person to card a score of 58 in the PGA Tour history. He shot 58 back in 2016 at the Travelers Championship. He shot a 12 under par round 4 and finished at tied fifth position. Jim is a one-time major championship winner, he won the 2003 US Open Championship. He joined the PGA Tour of Champions in 2020.
