Taylor Pendrith's rise: Is he the next big thing in golf or just a flash in the pan?

Taylor Pendrith has been on a blistering run of form lately. With six top tens this year, including a victory in the PGA Tour, the Canadian has also climbed the ladder of the Money List. He joined the American Tour in 2022, 8 years after turning pro. In his 2-year period, Pendrith has teed off in 86 PGA Tour events, making it to the weekend in 59 of them. Aside from his one title in his Tour career, he has one runner-up finish and a third-place finish.

Pendrith’s six top-tens this season have been provided a chunk of his current income. For the T10 in the Wells Fargo Championship, a Signature event, the 33-year-old earned $501,000. In total, five top-tens this season have put $9,32,425 in his pocket. 

Moreover, the Richmond Hills resident bagged two top-15s in the last two FedEx Cup playoffs. The T13 at the BMW Championship earned him $344,111. On the other hand, the T14 at the Tour Championship put $905,000 in his pocket. Whereas Pendrith nabbed a $1.71 million paycheck courtesy of his CJ Cup Byron Nelson win.

In total, the Canadian star has earned $4,579,104, which puts him at 31st in the PGA Tour official money list. A year prior, Taylor Pendrith was 93rd on the same list. In the list of career money leaders, Canadian International is 240th. His overall PGA Tour earnings are roughly around $9 million. In 2024, his net worth, as per Golfers NetWorth is $2 million.

Nevertheless, it’s just what the 33-year-old earns from his day job, golf. Pendrith also has multiple sponsorships from leading brands.

Being a Canadian, Taylor Pendrith enjoys support from the Royal Bank of Canada. RBC partners with almost all leading Canadian golfers, including his colleagues Adam Hadwin, Corey Conners, and Mackenzie Hughes on the PGA Tour, and Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp on the LPGA Tour.

Additionally, Turf Prophit, a cloud-based solution provider for golfers and their teams, partnered with Taylor Pendrith even before he joined the PGA Tour. The company is headquartered in Ontario, Canada. Pendrith hails from Richmond Hills, which is also in Ontario.

The Canadian pro is also a Srixon golfer. “A fight to the very end! Taylor Pendrith lands his first victory on Tour!!” Srixon posted from their official Instagram handle after his CJ Cup Byron Nelson triumph. However, it’s not clear when their partnership started. Neither are available any details of the deal Pendrith has with the equipment giant.

Moreover, American Water Heaters has been associated with Taylor Pendrith since 2018, when he was still plying his trade in PGA Tour Canada. “One of my longest-running partnerships over the course of my professional golf career has been American Water Heaters,” said Pendrith from TPC Craig Ranch. “Having them with me for my first PGA Tour win makes it extra special.It is also believed that Fengate Asset Management has a tie-up with the one-time PGA Tour winner.
