Petr Korda’s prowess in the field of tennis is not hidden from anyone following the sport. The 1998 Australian Open winner had accrued some major victories throughout his career. The Czech star’s long list of achievements even led him to reach the world’s second-highest career ranking in 1998.
Initially, Petr Korda surely had his aversions against the holistic game of golf. Thankfully for golf lovers from across the world, his move to Florida helped him develop a liking for the game. Ever since, he has featured alongside his daughter, Nelly Korda, in the PNC Championship on multiple occasions and performed exceedingly well.
According to the Sunday Morning Herald, over a decade ago, Petr Korda had already achieved the status of a scratch golfer. This means that he had a handicap score of 0 back in 2012 only. Surely, the former Bradenton Golf and Country Club champion has proved his worth in the sphere of golf as he did in tennis.

He debuted at the PNC Championship with his younger brother in 2021. That year, the duo finished tied for 12th place with a score of 17 under par. In 2022, this father-daughter pairing jumped up seven spots and finished tied for fifth place. Is the duo’s prowess continuing this year as well? Well, not exactly!

Team Korda did not start this year’s quest for the Willie Park Trophy in the top few positions. Their round 1 score of 8 under 64 rendered them outside of the top 10, as they tied for the 11th position along with four other teams. As the final round of the event progresses, only time will tell if Team Korda will see an advancement in their previous year’s position or not.
