From the get-go, Paul Waring was expected to be a brilliant golfer. The 39-year-old won the English Amateur in 2005, and when he made his debut on the Challenge Tour after turning pro in 2007, he started getting into the winner’s circle quite easily. However, from there onwards, it became difficult for Waring to follow through with the same success as during his amateur days.
But he still pulled through and made his way to the European Tour and after twelve years, he clinched his maiden victory at the 2018 Nordea Masters. As of the current season, Waring is chasing his second victory on the DP World Tour. And as he makes himself a known face in the golf world, a common question is where is he from? Given his name, Waring comes from England and was born in Birkenhead, a small town in the Wirral Peninsula, on February 2nd, 1985.
The 1-time DP World Tour winner comes from a sporting family. His mother, Gill Waring used to be a swimmer and represented England. While more about his family is hidden, he also has a cousin who was a professional tennis star. As an athletic person, it surely has been Waring’s dream to be the next big golfer but that goal has still not been fulfilled.
