Is Nelly Korda the greatest golfer of her generation, or is there more to prove?

Nelly Korda turned professional back in 2016. She was 18 at the time. Her first professional win was at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge, on the Symetra Tour. She finished ninth on the money list, earning her an LPGA Tour card for 2017. Ever since, she has made the waves on the LPGA Tour, especially in 2024. This year alone, she won 7 events, taking her win count on the American Tour to 15. All of this just at the age of 26!

Out of her fifteen wins, Nelly Korda has won two major championships: the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the 2024 Chevron Championship. She is currently ranked No. 1 on both the Rolex Rankings and the Race to CME Globe. To say that 2024 has been exceptional for her is an understatement. The golfer was recently named the 2024 Rolex Player of the Year, and with the momentum she has been carrying, she might as well win the 2024 CME Globe Tour Championship!

This year, Nelly Korda has earned $4.2 million in official Tour earnings. Her highest payday came from her victory at The Chevron Championship in April, where she pocketed $1.2 million for first place. Her second-largest win of the year occurred at the Mizuho Americas Open in May, where she earned $450,000. Her current net worth is estimated to be around $8.2 million, as per Forbes.

In 2022 and 2023, the LPGA Tour professional managed to garner an estimated amount of $1.4 million each year. And well, that’s not all. She is endorsed by some of the top brands in the golf world, which only adds to her worth.

Additionally, in January 2020, Cisco, which is regarded as one of the best tech companies all across the globe, took Nelly Korda and a few other golfers as their official ambassadors.

They aimed to create a sense of equality and inspire the next generation of female golfers. Her latest accomplishment has been becoming SI Swimsuit’s first athlete for the 2025 issue. Her pictures were shot by Boca Raton. The goal once again as mentioned by them was to, “shine a light on incredible athletes while examining income disparities and promoting equal pay across industries.” As it turns out, this is just the beginning for the 26-year-old.
