Choi Hye-jin, the 25-year-old golfer, has had a great career since she entered the course. With major achievements since the junior level, she turned pro in 2017 and has not stopped to amaze her fans since then. She has managed to cross 45 top 25 finishes in her professional career, showcasing her talent and great game sense.
Born on 23 August 1999 in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam, she has managed to win 12 LPGA in the Korea Tour. Being a South Korean golfer, she stood up to the expectations of the Korean fans. Along with her, Lydia Ko, Jin Young Ko, and Sei Young Kim have already made their mark in their professional career and had significant achievements under their name.
Choi Hye-Jin has not shared much about her early life or family. Apart from her father, Choi Gil-ho’s name. But, there isn’t much available about him as well. She prefers to maintain privacy about her personal life and focus on her golfing career. The only thing that can be established with certainty is that she is of Korean descent.

Her results during the season she played demonstrate her commitment to the game. Till now, she has managed to earn approximately $4 million in prize money, with $1.1 million coming from the 2024 season. This is just a glimpse of her talent, as she has been a pro for a few years now. However, she has made a mark during her amateur journey with great wins as well. She won the 2015 Korean Women’s Amateur- KangMinKoo Cup and World Junior Girls.

2015 was just the beginning of the South Korean golfer’s career. She then won the Lake Macquarie International Championship, Neighbors Trophy Team Championship, Hosim Cup, Canadian Women’s Amateur, Song Am Cup, and PoloGolf Junior Classic. All the above-mentioned wins come from the year 2016 itself.
Before turning pro, she won three tournaments including the Australian Women’s Amateur, Neighbors Trophy Team Championship, and the Queen Sirikit Cup in 2017. At the height of her amateur run, she then turned pro to compete with world-class golfers in the best of tournaments.

After three wins in the amateur career, she turned pro in 2017, where she first played in the U. S. Women’s Open finishing runner-up. She missed out on taking her first title but had her name out with her golfing skills among the professionals. However, since then, she had a tough time matching her finishing best. But, she has had a great professional career till now with 19 career top 10s with 7 coming from 2024.
Her efforts to win her first title have felt short many times, but we believe it’ll surely be worth the wait. Her best results in the LPGA Major Championships are at the Evian Championship 2024 finishing T7. Additionally, the Women’s PGA Championship was T5, Chevron Championship 2022 and 2023 were T17 and 17th, respectively. As the last tournament of the season has started, she will aim to close the year on a high and start the 2025 season with more wins to come.
