At 20 years of age, Caleb Surratt has already experienced the sweet taste of victory in professional golf. He left the PGA Tour behind and joined LIV Golf earlier this year. In his first season in LIV Golf, he was paired up with the Spanish giant; Jon Rahm, Irish aggressor; Tyrrell Hatton, and the star from Zimbabwe, Kieran Vincent.

The origins of Caleb Surratt

Caleb Surratt completed his education at the University of Tennessee. While there, Surratt became a part of the Tennessee Volunteers men’s golf team where he performed for the past two years. Ever since his freshman years, the 20-year-old starlet showed glimpses of greatness and was touted to be an incredibly gifted player who would achieve great heights in the sport.
Surratt won the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2022 He was also the first Vols golfer to earn first-team All-American honors. Surratt was once ranked 10th on the World Amateur Golf Rankings and nearly won the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur as he finished as the runner-up. But did he face any issues communicating with his fellow students in an American university?
No, he didn’t. That’s because Caleb Surratt himself is from the United States. The LIV Golf star was born and brought up in Indian Trail, North Carolina. Being a great performing young golfer from the land of opportunity, Surratt was also a part of Team U.S.A. for the 2023 Walker Cup tournament. He and his fellow American amateur players lifted the title in September 2023 after a dominating performance in the tournament.

Prior to his triumphant victory at the Old Course in St. Andrews last year, Caleb Surratt also represented Team U.S.A. in the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup. Surratt’s Instagram shows him and his teammates; whom he called his best friends, holding their individual trophies that they were awarded in June 2023.

Apart from golf, Caleb Surratt also seems to have an interest in a few other sports. One of his posts shows him with his hunting gear on posing with a deer he shot down for “Christmas dinner”. Another post shows him on what looks like a football field with his fellow Tennessee University students. This indicates that he might be a fan of the NFL as well. Caleb Surratt also enjoys hiking as he has shared his trekking vlog in his last post on Instagram. However, his focus remains on golf as most of his Instagram is filled with his exploits on the course or showing off his set of clubs.
