Chase Koepka, the younger brother of golfing superstar Brooks Koepka, is making a welcome return to competition on the Asian Tour. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Chase in action, and his fans are eager to see how he’ll perform after a mysterious absence from the golfing scene. But what happened to Chase during his time away from the game? As it turns out, Chase has been dealing with a serious injury that’s kept him sidelined for quite some time.

Chase’s absence from golf was due to a debilitating nerve damage issue in his shoulder, which left him struggling to even lift his arm, let alone swing a golf club. It was a tough time for the 30-year-old, who had to rely on his family for support and encouragement. And that’s where his big brother Brooks Koepka came in and offered his guidance and a helping hand to get his brother back on his feet. But what’s remarkable about Chase’s story is the way he’s leaned on his family, particularly Brooks Koepka, to help him overcome this challenging period and now they are competing together.

The two brothers share a special bond, one that’s been forged through years of shared experiences, both on and off the golf course. In regards to his family, Chase recalled a hilarious story from a U.S. Open qualifier back in 2012, where Brooks Koepka’s aggressive play led to a dramatic playoff, and Chase being his caddie then had to intervene on his brother’s behalf with their dad. “He was 220 out. What did you want him to do, Dad?” Chase asked his father when Brooks wasn’t responding to him. It’s a tale that showcases the Koepka brothers’s relationship and their unbreakable family bond. “That story is so funny, but true,” Chase said in a recent interview.
