Sarah, being the biggest supporter of the golfer, has also stepped up to help with her skillset on the journey of a professional golfer. As per the official website of Thomas Detry, she plays a huge part in the business side of things, running Detry’s partnerships with brands like Boss, Delen Private Bank, Callaway, Rolex, Mannes, and GFore.

Thomas Detry shared plans for the future
Currently, the golfer stays in Dubai and calls it home. But with the entire schedule overpowered by the American courses, he is planning to switch his permanent base. Earlier, when talking about life on the road during the SubPar golf podcast, he let it slip that Detry and Sarah Taylor are always in the same boat, traveling together, and are looking to move to a place closer to the course to reduce travel.
He said, “Right now, we’re living out of a suitcase, we’re pretty much living week by week.” While traveling with family having two young daughters isn’t an easy job, which even he pointed out further during the discussion. He even shared that, a year before getting the PGA Tour cards, he moved to Dubai. However, after spending more than 9 months on the tour, that too in America, it made him have to figure out a way.

“We’re trying to figure it out. Where is the good place maybe to live? Scottsdale, I loved it. A little bit far away from home, but it’s a great place. Probably Florida, we’ve tried out the Caribbean as well, but it’s not that easy to get to.” he shared. Talking about his relocation plans, he hinted that, by next year’s end, he might finally put down roots in a permanent place.
With the strong support system and some great finishes in the career, will this year be a settle-down year for the golfer with a personal home of choice and a professional victory? What are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments below.
