Linn Grant is among Sweden’s remarkable professional golfers, with the former ASU player making a name for herself as a consistent winner in the sport. Pontus Samuelson is pursuing his Bachelors in Business Administration/Economics from Limestone University. Grant has been dating the Swedish golfer for over five years now. Samuelson is also a student-athlete. Both Linn and Pontus have been playing golf since a young age. While Linn is shining on international golf courses, Pontus is also leaving a mark in his college golf career.
From winning the GCAA Division II PING All-Southeast Region in 2022 to being a medalist at the South Atlantic Conference championship, the 24-year-old already has a lot of feathers added to his hat in the world of golf. Though he is still majoring in economics, he also dedicates much of his life to college golf. In 2020-21, during his freshman year, he had a stroke average of 73.56 and went as low as 69 per round!

Although he is yet to get the professional status of being a golfer, Pontus Samuelson has already appeared in six events and has also finished in the top 5 in one of them and has a top-10 finish in two, and it is safe to say that his collegiate golfing saga is already a success. In the 2020-21 season, he helped his college team by leading them to finish in the runner-up position at the SAC Championship by carding a three-round 220 (+4). He made it to the top-10 list at the Matlock Collegiate Classic by scoring his best rounds at the UNG Fall Invitational.

Pontus Samuelson helped Linn Grant out by being her caddie
Pontus Samuelson was chosen by the LPGA Tour star as her caddie ever since Grant made her debut. He has been caddying for her through various events, which also helped in strengthening their relationship. She has also been part of several major events, like the Arnold Palmer Cup. In 2018, she bagged the sectional qualification for the US Women’s Open and finished with a T57. He was caddying for her.

He was also there at the 2022 Scandinavian Mixed Event in June, where she shot a 17-under and won the DPWT and LET’s one-of-a-kind event. However, they parted professional ways after March 2023, as he wanted to focus on his career. Grant even said, “It’s a bit of a mixed feeling. Boring, of course, and not being able to travel together every week and experience everything together. At the same time, it feels fun to take a new step and start working with someone who is already a professional caddie.”
