Jordan Spieth’s rise to the top of the golf world has been nothing short of spectacular, but behind every great champion is someone who’s been there through thick and thin. For Spieth, that someone has been his wife, Annie Verret.
Their story began back in their teenage years when they met while attending high schools in Texas. Little did they know, their bond would grow into something much more significant, with Verret by Spieth’s side as he conquered the golfing world. They tied the knot on November 24, 2018, in a private ceremony in Dallas. Through the highs of his three major wins and the lows of enduring a wrist injury, Annie has remained a constant, quietly supporting Spieth.
Annie Verret is a business graduate from Texas Tech University. A year before she got into college, Annie joined St. Bernard Sports as a salesperson and worked there from January 2010 to August 2012 through college. During college, she interned as an HR at the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, where she stayed for three months. Then, she joined The First Tee of Greater Dallas, where she began as an outreach intern for three months and later on as a community outreach intern for another three months.

Eventually, she was promoted to the role of an event coordinator in the same company, and that was when she knew that it was her calling. She stayed there for over three years and then became the Director of Development at The Birthday Party Project, which is a charity that aims to celebrate children in America. Chenault’s goal is to make every child in the country feel celebrated. And that is not all. She left the company after getting married and is currently a very successful event planner, having earned a big name for herself in the industry.
