The LIV Golf Invitational Series is through with a few events and a lot of golfers have joined in leaving behind their PGA Tour careers. Greg Norman has successfully lured some of the most talented players to play in the Saudi-funded league. Even the former POTUS, Donald Trump, came forward to shake hands with Norman and offered to host some LIV events at his golf club.
Norman is continuously trying to bring the game up to the level of the PGA Tour major championships. However, most people would call it impossible for LIV Golf to reach that level. But when it comes to the commentators at LIV Golf events, they have an overly optimistic mindset about the matter.

The golf world reacts to LIV’s comparison to Ryder Cup by commentators
Golf fans on Twitter could not stop laughing when a video of commentators, talking about the atmosphere at LIV Golf events, went viral. People made absolute fun of the rather biased and untrue statements made by commentators during the game. Some even called it a “joke” when the commentators said, “It does have a USA against Europe Ryder Cup feel to it”.
There were almost no fans present to watch the event live on the field. To some Twitter users, it looked like a “full-blown COVID atmosphere with total lockdown”. Here are a few fan reactions to the viral video:
What a joke, even Feherty couldn’t muster any support for that crazy take 😂😂

Watson was a part of the Saudi International earlier in 2022. His name has been linked to LIV Golf Series for a long time now. However, there was no official news about him joining the series until Friday. Bubba Watson has been an essential member of the PGA Tour and has made many records playing PGA events.
He also played in four Ryder Cups along with two Presidents Cups representing USA. He is currently in the 17th season of his career playing on the PGA Tour. Although, Watson joining the LIV Tour has made it even more complicated to know if more players are still to shake hands with Norman. Watson has not given any statement about his reasons behind joining the LIV Tour. Nonetheless, he should be aware that according to Jay Monahan’s statement, he will no longer be able to play on the PGA Tour.
