Woods was able to win despite being available for only nine rounds in three majors. Not just that, former no.1 also attended a player-only meeting at the BMW Championship in Wilmington. Fans have mixed reactions to his win.

However, McIlroy also made headlines by following up with Woods in the PIP. He will be taking $12M for 2nd place, so GOAT’s bonus would be more significant. The current number one emerged as champion this year. He won FedEx Cup for the third time, making the record. The other two tournaments followed it, leading him to reach no.1. He was one of the most vital voices supporting the PGA tour against LIV Golf.

As the winner, Woods will take home a plurality of the PIP’s $100 million fund. They will split it between some 23 players. Now that the program was expanded, the payout for McIlroy was $12 million.
This win contributed to a big season, financially, for the current number 1. His earnings include bonus money, which was $40,354,566. That was the breaks down to $8,654,566 from prize money in 15 tournaments.
