Golf Hall of Famer Gary Player, who has swung his golf club with John Bland multiple times in the past, told PGA Tour, “I’ve read where people say, ‘Who’s this guy?’ Well, he’s been winning tournaments in South Africa for many, many years and winning tournaments in Europe. He is simply an outstanding golfer.

Brandon added how they have been thinking about the golf veteran and hoped that he was looking down on them. The 6-time Sunshine Tour winner mentioned how blue was the legend’s favorite color. To further give an insight into the team’s action, he commented,” He supported the Blue Bulls, and I reached out to his wife that I know pretty well, and thought if there’s a collar ribbon what he would have liked, and blue it is. I got the team, the caddies, the whole staff, we’re all thinking of him.”
