LPGA golfer, Lydia Ko, made history over the weekend. She took home a $2 million winner’s check after winning the CME Tour Championship 2022. It was the most significant amount in the history of women’s golf. Her excellent golfing skills made her secure the Rolex Player of the Year Award, but she did not stop there. The pro also bagged the Vare Trophy for the low season-long scoring average for the second year straight. Therefore, her 2022 scorecard looks good.

She won the two most prestigious awards in women’s golf and missed a record-breaking milestone this year. But the highlight of Ko’s 2022 is her possibility of making it into the LPGA Hall of Fame. The former number-one golfer on the LPGA tour is just 2 points shy from entering the Hall of Fame. She is just 25 years old and needs 27 points to succeed. Will she make it?
What do golf fans think about Lydia Ko?
Despite all the achievements, she barely missed an enormous feat. Ko could not break the money record in the LPGA for a single season. The pro golfer is just $591 away from breaking the record of Lorena Ochoa, who earned $4,364,994 in 2007. But now she might reach an even bigger milestone by entering the Hall of Fame for women’s golf.

2 more wins will seal it for Lydia. She’ll compete until she achieves that and perhaps more. ❤️

If an LPGA golfer wants to be part of the Hall of Fame, they must meet the minimum criteria of earning 27 points. The members need to win at least one of the following:
- An LPGA major championship
- The Vare Trophy
- Rolex Player of the Year honor.
It is not easy to earn 27 points for the Hall of Fame. The golfer will receive only one point for each tour event and two points for achieving the major championship victory. The female golfer will also receive one point for the Vare Trophy or the Rolex Player of the Year honors each.
