The 26-year-old has been charged with a two-stroke penalty for using green-reading materials in the course. Morikawa was in breach of Model Local Rule G-11. This rule restricts golfers from deploying any other green-reading material except the approved yardage book.

The PGA Tour Communications recently shared a statement on X about the matter. They said, “Collin Morikawa has been assessed a two-stroke penalty for a breach of Model Local Rule G-11, which restricts the use of green-reading materials. The breach occurred on No. 4 during the third round.”
