Before the $3 Billion merger, the golf world was truly embroiled in the rivalry between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. And now that everything has calmed down, we are living in the era of rivalry among league supporters. Phil Mickelson is the biggest supporter of LIV Golf, whereas Rory McIlroy is the biggest critic of the Saudi-backed league. McIlroy has made it clear numerous times how much he detests LIV Golf, and is not hesitant to share his thoughts.

A few days ago, Mickelson stated that no LIV Golf team would want the Irishman since they didn’t want to deal with him. However, this time, not Mickelson but another golfer took a subtle jab at McIlroy.

In an interview with The Guardian, he stated that many professional golfers are embarrassed about the conduct of some golfers and how they put things up. Canter believed that the best aspect of playing golf should be the camaraderie and support among the players. The 33-year-old golfer added that people should vent their complaints in private rather than during press conferences if they have problems with a league. ”Saying things through the press is not the way to go about it if you are serious about doing what is best for the game,” said Canter.

The post was captioned: “Rory McIlory said just a little over a month ago at the PGA Championship that he was going to steer clear of any talks about LIV and focus on his game. Here we are today, just 6 weeks later. The kid just can’t help himself.”
