John Daly is a jack of many trades. On the golf course, he has left his mark by winning five times on the PGA Tour, including two majors: the PGA Championship in 1991 and The Open Championship in 1995. But besides golfing, he has worn other hats too!

Surprising to many, Daly also has an immense interest in music and loves to sing. And his latest viral news has everything to do with him having a mic in his hand! However, this latest musical announcement related to Daly has been a source of discomfort for Paige Spiranac, especially since it comes just a few weeks after he abandoned her on the course at a hugely anticipated event!

A huge upcoming musical announcement comes to light about John Daly

Although John Daly doesn’t share any indifference with Spiranac, he has dealt her yet another blow after ditching her for a golf event. For the forthcoming Sanford International event that is scheduled for September, music guest Jake Owen has been announced. But what the social media star will find discomforting in that announcement is that the opening performance at the event will be from none other than the two-time major winner.

The announcement was made by event sponsor Good Boy Vodka on their Instagram page. And as per it, Daly will be exhibiting his singing skills on the stage before Jake Owen entertains the fans and the players at Sanford Pentagon. This will certainly be a big treat for the golf pro’s fans, who have also appreciated his previous venture into music.

The Claret Jug winner loves to sing and make music and has released three albums of his own. His first album, ‘My Life,’ was released in 2002. He released his second album, ‘I Only Know One Way,’ in 2010, about which he said, “The album itself is really my life”. And after a long musical break, his third and latest album, ‘Whiskey and Water’, was released in March 2022.

Now Daly will once again be warming up his vocals for the Stanford International, which is a premier tournament on the PGA Tour Champions. However, this news certainly stands to be a shocker for Spiranac, who recently had an unusual experience with Daly when she was left out to dry on the course by the PGA Tour veteran.

A few weeks ago, John Daly participated in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. And during the event one night, a live concert was arranged with a musical performance by country star Kenny Chesney. There, Daly arrived at the venue full of panache, riding a golf cart to a music concert. His participation and performance were the golf pro’s first blow to the Instagram model after he bailed on her at the last minute for a charity event in Wisconsin.

The 1995 British Open winner was supposed to play the golf beauty in a celebrity charity event on June 5, themed as Beauty vs. The Beast. Sadly, Spiranac was stood up as Daly was a no-show at the event owing to an injury. He was quickly replaced by Jerry Kelly, who then faced off in an epic battle against the blonde influencer. And although she publicly took to Twitter to wish the golf pro well and send him her best, her disappointment was quite evident.
