Her candid attitude is what makes her a fan favorite. The LPGA star’s ongoing social media break in order to re-emerge as a better version of herself has made rounds around the golf world. However, her social media break did not go as per expectation courtesy to Lexi Thompson.

As is well known, Lexi Thompson was recently seen playing at the Shriners Children’s Open. This was a monumental achievement as Thompson was the only woman to have played at this PGA Tour event this year. Obviously, Jenny Shin recognized the monumental value of this major career event and went on to compliment Thompson. Shin wrote on X (Twitter), “What a week for Lexi. So proud of her and her accomplishments this week.”


Jenny Shin’s decision to put a pause on her ongoing social media break just to support Lexi Thompson in her journey speaks volumes about the community LPGA players have built upon. Love, care, and support are things these wonder women do not compromise upon. Even though Lexi could not make the cut, Shin’s support and applause must have helped.

Lexi Thompson registered her name in the books of history as she became the seventh woman in the world to play against men on the PGA Tour. Even though she missed the cut by three shots after a cut-throat competition on day one, the fact that she appeared in the Shriners Children’s Open was inspiration enough.
