Angel Yin withdrew during the first round of the Maybank Championship. Backing out from the first round will mean the 25-year-old LPGA star will be out of contention for the title as well. However, this was not the first time injury had come her way.

Notably, the LPGA Star Suffered from severe pain in her left shoulder in 2021. To avoid surgery, at that time the LPGA Star dialed back on her long swings which affected her play and confidence level. However, it remains unclear whether it’s her shoulder that’s come to haunt her yet again.

As per LPGA Media, the three-time Solheim Cupper had to pull out during the first round because of injury. The caption of the post read Angel Yin has withdrawn from the @maybankchampion during the first round due to injury. On her cards, it’s still a blank when the LPGA star left the course, which means she was yet to take her tee shot.

For her fans, the main worry will be how many tournaments she is going to miss. Incidentally, there are only two tournaments left before the CME Group Tour championship. Although any return date is purely speculative, this will surely affect her standings in the Race to CME Globe as well. Currently, at 10, she is not in danger of losing her position in the race altogether. Yin solidified that after her maiden career tour victory early this month.
