Thomas is one of the most anticipated PGA Tour players. The 30-year-old has claimed multiple victories at many reputed tournaments, including two major championships, a FedEx Cup Championship, a PGA TOUR Player of the Year Award, and a Players Championship.
Surprisingly, JT is also only one of six players in Tour history to walk away with 15 victories and two majors before his 30th birthday. The other five on the list are Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Tom Watson, Rory McIlroy, and Tiger Woods.
At this year’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow, Thomas finished in 14th position. While he still awaits a victory at the Wells Fargo Championship, this year’s tournament was a bit more special, for he used the event to create awareness and launch his own sun care line, WearSPF.
But following it, the player just relaxed a little, enjoying none other than one of America’s beloved sports, hockey! The world no. 14 recently took to Instagram and posted a story of him at the FLA Live Arena stadium in Florida, watching a hockey playoff. “Little playoff hockey never hurt anybody,” he wrote. In his story, the stadium can also be seen jam-packed with thousands of fans excitedly watching the playoffs.
The hockey face-off was the second round between the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. And it was the Toronto team that skated away with a 2-1 win, leaving all the Florida fans disappointed.
Regardless of whether the team he was rooting for won or lost, Thomas certainly had quite an experience. And it was perhaps a night off that he needed, considering next week he’ll have his plate full trying to defend his major!

Thomas’ return to defend his title
JT will be seen returning to the PGA Championship 2023 as the reigning champion next week to try and defend his title. His 2022 victory came after an immensely dramatic playoff. The golfer finished five under par in the final round and also went on to beat Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff to clinch the second major of his career and grab a huge comeback victory.
It certainly will be exciting to see Thomas defend his title at the second major of the season at Oak Hill East Course. Do you think he will win this time as well? What are your guesses for the PGA Championship?
