LIV Golf CEO, Greg Norman, is one of the most successful businessmen amongst golf-turned entrepreneurs. Greg Norman’s torrid relationships

The 67-year-old is no stranger to exchanging vows (and breaking them). Things started out brightly with his marriage to Laura Andrassy back in 1981. The couple was together for 26 years before going their separate ways.

However, what caused the split was more concerning. Norman and American Tennis broadcaster and former player Chris Evert started getting a liking for each other. The two were still married to their other halves, but hit it off instantly.

With two prominent former athletes involved, the media scampered for the breaking news. It led to a culmination of divorces as Evert and her former husband Andy Mill called it quits. While it was a relatively quiet affair, the Norman-Andrassy separation was anything but.

The couple’s divorce was a much-publicized affair, which led to various quotes and figures from unclaimed sources. However, as per TCPalm, Norman was forced to pay an eye-watering $103 million as a divorce signing to Andrassy. While the money didn’t force ‘The Shark’ to go into budget-saving modes, it was yet a hefty price to pay. Surely, his marriage with Evert was worth it!

Alas, the marriage lasted a total of 15 months. While not much has been said about the reasons for their fallout, a big reason is claimed to be their unflinching schedules. Evert resonated along similar lines in an interview with Elle. “Was there passion? Yes. Was there love? Sure, uh, yes – but we had two big worlds. Honestly, we had different priorities. I want roots – I want to be with my kids, live in a nice, comfortable house, and be able to do my work,” she said.

The winner of 18 Major singles titles revealed that one of the pair had to let go of their priorities for the family. “One of us would have had to give up a big part of our life… I don’t want this to be a slam on Greg, but our lifestyles were different. My priority was my kids. His priority was to build his business and travel,” she revealed.

Whatever may be the reason, the fallout was met by another divorce lawsuit for Norman. However, it looked like the 2-time Major Championship winner seemed to have learned his lesson. He didn’t speak with the media regarding the matter and secretly divorced Evert, which the latter claimed wasn’t ugly.
