‘We Are an Embarrassment’: Golf World Left Fuming After Bizarre Top Golf Video Goes Viral

Accidents are a part of our lives, and for golf lovers, the sport is their life. Among many fan mishaps on the golf field, this week another unfortunate incident took place at Top Golf. Top Golf is a merger between technology and golf. It is not unlikely to see fans and golfers playing at such driving ranges. Sadly, that huge number of fans may just decrease after the recent unfortunate incident.

A video went viral on TikTok by code3dmv which was featured by ZireGolf on its Instagram page. ZireGolf is famous for having one of the funniest golf Instagram content. This video, however, received extreme backlash from fans.

Fans react aggressively to viral Top Golf mishap

The incident of a man stuck in the net demanded the fire department be called for his rescue. He was unable to help himself get out, and this evoked outrage among the fans on Instagram. They had a lot to say about the man’s health and misuse of resources. Fans commented, “Hopefully it’s a wake up call to take health a bit more seriously“,  “If that don’t make you change your life…”, “Reason 7453 not to be fat and out of shape”,” America is accepting this and empowering it. we are an embarrassment.”

Among these fumes, some people felt sympathetic for the man. They said, “Poor dude! It would be humiliating”, “That’s got to be the most humbling experience”, and “Can’t even embarrass yourself in peace anymore.”

The comment section, of course, would have been incomplete without golf followers aiming their hilarious remarks at the net. They wrote, “😂😂😂 nothing but net”, “Anybody impressed at how strong that net is?”, “At least we know the nets work”, “Great marketing for whatever company made those nets 😂” Despite some light humor, most of the comments were filled with rage. They believed the incident to be out of proportion.

Some fans focused more on the audio of the clip than the incident

Besides the majority of the respondents focusing on the action in the video, a few people took it upon themselves to complain regarding the audio choice. They said, “Most annoying song and voiceover combined in one post.”,” Congrats! I wish this post did not have that annoying tune,” and “ No need for the song or narration.”

The diverging directions received by the video prove how perceptive fans can be. Nevertheless, incidents like these seem quite dangerous, and things could have been a lot worse for both the man and the other. Hence, it’s best to exercise caution and be careful while playing golf, even though it may be indoors!
