The United States has seen a total of 46 presidents, and it isn’t uncommon for controversy to exist between the presidents and their predecessors. Such is the case with Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States in January 2017. He served one term and lost his re-election campaign to Joe Biden by a whopping 306 electoral votes to 232. Therefore, when 4 years later, Biden took over the office as the new President,Trump did not take losing to him lightly.

Donald Trump and golf – an old relationship
Donald Trump was the first president elected in the history of America without a military or prior public office background. Trump is a businessman worth around 3.2 billion USD. He owns The Trump Organization, which is a group of 500 or so business entities, with interests in real estate development, brokerage and property development.
Trump is also an avid golfer. Once, when in Scotland for a trip, he described golf as his main exercise routine and said, “I have arrived in Scotland and will be at Trump Turnberry for two days of meetings, calls and hopefully, some golf – my primary form of exercise!”

The former president has played alongside many golf stars over the years. Among them are the likes of Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Hideki Matsuyama.
Trump’s involvement with LIV Golf
Trump also attended the Pro-Am event yesterday, where he joined Brooks Koepka and Sergio Garcia for a game. The tournament was held at the Trump National Doral in Florida, which is the venue for the LIV Golf Team Championship in Miami that begins today.
After his first drive at the tournament, Trump turned, looked to the camera, and said, “You think Biden can do that? I don’t think so.” This isn’t just the first time the businessman has made negative comments about the President either.

Trump, being a huge business tycoon, as well as a golf enthusiast, cannot pass up on an opportunity like LIV Golf. The LIV Golf CEO, Greg Norman and Trump have known each other for a long time. This cemented Trump’s involvement with LIV Golf. His golf courses were blocked out and scheduled to host only the two LIV events the entire year. The tournament at his Bedminster, New Jersey, course and the final event of the LIV season at his Doral, Florida, that begins today.
