Golf is among the sports that are not only played by golf professionals. Even other celebrities who enjoy watching golf often pick up the club and head to the course in their free time. Will Smith is one such personality who loves golf immensely. However, this love once cost him his teeth.

Will Smith has a painful golf lesson

Golf can cause serious injuries if the person does not have the correct presence of mind; Will Smith learned the same a couple of years ago. The Hollywood sensation actor had a painful moment during a golf lesson and the end result was not a nice one for him. Smith was giving a golf lesson to Jason Derulo, the famous American singer, and songwriter.

Smith shook the internet after he uploaded a nasty video of the incident on his official Instagram account in 2020. In the video, Will is seen giving a golf lesson to Derulo and warns him not to swing the club as he comes close to Jason’s club.

However, it is too late as Jason smashes Smith’s mouth with his club in the backswing and chips off his front two teeth. As Will falls down on the floor in pain, Jason says, “You should put some ice on that.”

However, it isn’t clear whether it was all a staged act or Jason, in fact, broke Will’s teeth. To add more spice to the alleged stunt, Jason commented on the video, saying, “I know a good dentist … text me back.”

Recently, the American actor found himself amidst controversy at the 2022 Oscars. Will had a rather bitter moment with star Chris Rock. During the award show, Chris cracked a joke about Will’s wife and Smith did not appreciate it.

He moved up on stage and slapped Chris, leaving the audience stunned. However, later in his acceptance speech, he apologized to the academy and to his fellow nominees for his unruly conduct. Notably, no apologies were issued to Chris.

Minutes after the infamous incident, Will won the Oscar for best actor in 2022.
