Woods got pranked by ex-girlfriend Lindsey Vonn
The 2013 Presidents Cup has many reasons to be famous more than just golf. It was near the second hole when Woods had his encounter with the rodent who became famous overnight. All thanks to Woods’ ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, who introduced the squirrel to Tiger Woods.
Vonn was standing next to Woods during the Presidents Cup when Davis Love III approached the golfer’s then-girlfriend. And out of a sudden, Love handed out a squirrel from his pocket and gave it to Vonn. With a curious smile on her face, Vonn immediately placed the squirrel on Woods’ shoulder.
And as expected, Woods didn’t react much to the feeling of a rodent crawling up his back. It almost looked like Woods knew about the prank as soon as Davis Love III brought the squirrel to Vonn. But this tiny prank made the Presidents Cup famous for yet another reason. And Sammy the squirrel was another story that went viral on the internet.
“Sammy” the squirrel apologized to Tiger Woods!
Soon before the squirrel was released into the woods by Davis Love III, the tiny rodent issued an apology for Tiger Woods on Twitter. Yes, you read that right. A fan account on Twitter by the name “Sammy T. Squirrel” tweeted an apology for Woods after stealing his thunder. The tweet said, “Didn’t mean to bug you yesterday @TigerWoods. I told Lindsey it was a bad idea, but, she didn’t listen.”

There are people who believe it could be Lindsey Vonn who created that account to mess with Woods a little more. But it could also be a fan trying to take the story forward from the squirrel’s end. But in the end, it was an entertaining event, thanks to Lindsey Vonn and her sweet little friend “Sammy”.
