Phil Mickelson filed a lawsuit against the PGA Tour
11 LIV Golf rebels, including Phil Mickelson, have filed a lawsuit against the PGA Tour. In Mickelson’s case specifically, the golfer has claimed that his ban has affected his career adversely. According to the lawsuit, Mickelson has faced heavy financial loss and other benefits that come with playing on the tour.
His lawsuit also stated that the PGA Tour has “unlawfully” extended the ban multiple times. And it resulted in Mickelson being suspended for more than two years. It is true as the PGA Tour kept extending the ban’s duration with every LIV Golf tournament Lefty played. However, a lot of players including Mickelson suggest that PGA and LIV should run things together. But as of now, the chances for a merger are null.
