The official page of the PGA Tour recently posted an Instagram video that captured the fan frenzy of the Waste Management Phoenix Open and proved why golf is one of the most underrated fan frenzy sports. This year’s WM Phoenix Open has seen its share of rowdy and enthusiastic fans.
Golf, the most underrated fan frenzy sport
When it comes to golf, the fan base compared to other sports is considered underrated. The Twitter video has proven that golf is just underrated when it comes to its fan base. This recent video has declared the pre-conceived notion about the sport a misconception. The video, shot at 5 a.m., shows hundreds of fans waiting for the opening of the golf course. Despite the early hour, fans left no stone unturned in creating an electric atmosphere.
Golf originated from Scotland, back in 15th century. But the fans have proven that golf is in fact mainstream. Their sheer dedication and attachment to the sport could be seen in their enthusiasm at the WM Phoenix Open this year. Those who sat at the back of the house did not remain silent and bombarded the comments section with a wide range of reactions.

Fan reactions on social media mirrored the portrayal in the video. If anything, it was louder and better. Seeing the crazy crowd, one of the accounts suggested that it’s always better to pay extra and skip the crowd. Another die-hard fan thinks this is exactly what golf is, just a little louder. Some of the fans were stunned and could not believe how massive the whole crowd looked.
This is why I’d pay extra to get a box and know I could show up at 9-10am

The excitement of one fan prompted him to declare that the sight was worth living for. The other fan called the scene ‘insanity.’ The sight truly came as a shock to many of the golf fans. What fans could witness the most were the drunk men out there, promoting the sport with utmost positivity. Well, if there is golf, then how can we not expect booze? How can the drunk fellas be missed by their fans?
This makes life worth living!!!
