Viktor Hovland is a part of the field this week at the Valspar Championship. Probably one of the best ball strikes on Tour, the Norwegian professional hit a wayward shot on one of the holes during his first round. His wayward shot proves that even the games best can make mistakes.

Viktor Hovland almost hits other professionals at Valspar

PGA Tour moves into its next event of the season, the Valspar Championship. The event is taking place at the beautiful yet tough Copperhead Course. Copperhead is famous for its treacherous closing stretch. The final three holes, 16th, 17th, and 18th holes, are probably one of the toughest closing holes on the PGA Tour. Moreover, Viktor proved the toughness of the golf course with his wild shot.

Viktor was comfortably in the middle of the fairway at one of the par fives. The Norwegian professionals looked to hit what looked like a fairway metal for his second shot on par 5, 11th hole. However, the professional missed his shot way right and was seen screaming his lungs out “FORE”. Hovland gave a huge smack to his second shot but lost the ball right.

The funny part of his terrible miss was that Dustin Johnson was getting ready to hit his tee shot on the par-four, 12th hole. In the footage, Dustin is seen ducking as soon as he hears a loud fore and the ball hits the hospitality section behind him. Wow! victor hit his fairway metal on another tee and could have almost hit Dustin. Jason, who was playing with Dustin was also seen trying to protect himself from Viktors’ golf ball.

Prize-money at Valspar Championship this week

The Par 71, CopperHead Course is the last event of PGA Tours’ Florida Swing. The course, which is famous for the Snake Pit includes a total prize money purse worth $7.8 million. The winner of the event will be taking home a prize money share worth $1,404,000. With a strong field this week, it will be interesting to see who wins the amazing trophy and the winner’s prize money.
