Tiger Woods has been out of action since contesting at the Open Championship in July earlier this year. He has played a grand total of 3 events this year, all Major Championships. The injuries sustained during the horrific car accident in 2021 still plague Tiger’s quest to go past elusive golf records. However, there is still hope. Woods was spotted playing at a golf clinic recently – without much discomfort.

Is Tiger Woods back?
The 15-time Major winner was seen teeing up a few warm-up shots in the short video. It was posted on the Instagram channel twspot, a Tiger Woods fan community page not affiliated yet by the golfer himself.
Apparently, the video was shot at the Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey. The TGR Foundation, Woods’ charity program that educates youth, is conducting its annual charity event this week, called the NEXUS Cup.
The 2022 NEXUS Cup is an exclusive amateur invitational tournament that marks the third installment of the competition. It is a two-day event available to only 18 foursomes, including dining and evening festivities and the NEXUS Club in New York.

While Tiger won’t be taking part in the golf course, he is expected to be present for the off-field extravaganzas across the event. On the basis of the short video, it looks like Tiger is back in shape and raring to challenge professional golfers as we head into the new season.
When will Woods play next on the PGA Tour?
Having only played the Masters’ Tournament, the PGA Championship, and the Open Championship since the beginning of this year, Woods would be willing to play consistently on the PGA Tour.
I previously informed the USGA that I will not be competing in the @usopengolf as my body needs more time to get stronger for major championship golf. I do hope and plan to be ready to play in Ireland at @JPProAm and at @TheOpen next month. I’m excited to get back out there soon!

Nearing the half-century mark with a surgically repaired leg, Tiger knows he doesn’t have a lot of time to break Sam Snead’s and Jack Nicklaus’ elusive records. As things stand, he is level with Snead for most wins on the PGA Tour, with 82 professional wins. Woods is a bit off Nicklaus’ Major Championship record, with 15 wins to the latter’s 18.
Once seemed destined to shatter the record books, Tiger now faces a race against time to get past these figures. Or he is keeping calm, awaiting the storm that puts him on a pedestal no one can fathom.
