Most golfers will agree that putting is the most challenging aspect of golf; it can either make or break. Tiger Woods realized this early, and we have witnessed a plethora of legendary Tiger Woods ‘putt’ moments spanning his illustrious career. However, his brilliance never seems to lose its magic as many times as you go back to witness it.
The 2014 World Golf Championships- Cadillac Championship was held between March 6-9th, at the TPC Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral, Florida. Despite not being in his best form, Woods certainly pleased the crowd by draining the longest putt of his career.

Moreover, this fabulous play came at a time Woods‘ game was at its lowest. Marred by injuries and accidents, he had undergone many surgeries ahead of the tournament. In addition, he was suffering from a dry spell that lasted from 2013 to 2018.

Tiger Woods sinks the longest putt of his career
On the par-3 4th hole during the second round, his drive landed 91-feet off the hole. For a birdie, Woods took a putt, although no one really predicted what was to come next. With accurate speed and direction, Woods sent the ball straight home, and it sunk beautifully.
As it became clear that it would drain, cheers and amazed cries came from the crowd. Woods, too, lifted his hands in celebration, a grin plastered on his face. This monstrous putt was scripted down in history as the longest putt by the 82-time winner on the PGA tour.
However, the 15-time major winner finished T-25 on leaderboard, 5 above par. Patrick Reed bagged the title with a spectacular 4-under performance, the first WGC win of his career.

These historic moments are compensating for his absence, as Woods recovers from a single car crash. Earlier this year, he was in a career threatening accident that forced him to wait on the sidelines. Fortunately, there has been plenty of optimistic news of his speedy recovery and possible comeback, as he has been sighted on the course.
At the end of his career, Woods will go down as a legend. His impressive records, fine skills and pure domination have taken golf to the next level. However, until we see him in action again, we’ll have to be content with such moments from his past.
